About
Plane Old Woodworking
Woodworking has been a part of me since I was old enough to swing a hammer. Watching woodworking shows like “The New Yankee Workshop” and “The Woodwright’s Shop” were part of a tradition with my father as well as helping out with what ever project he was currently working on. Growing up helping my father, I learned a lot about woodworking and it became my hobby just as it had been his. While he primarily worked with power tools, I began looking into more traditional methods. At first it was out of necessity as renting does not give you the best options for storing a shop’s worth of power tools. Soon I began to realize that I enjoyed hand tool woodworking even more than working with power tools. There is much to be said about finding a way to slow down and enjoy every ounce of the work you are doing.
During the Pandemic of 2020, I had found spare time on my hands and decided it was finally time to build the workbench I wanted for hand tool woodworking. It was at that time I also decided it would be a good idea to stream my endeavors.
Feel free to join me as I dive further into traditional hand tool woodworking. I stream my work on Twitch and post project pictures on Instagram as well.
